Paul Thomson
50's - 60's Music
Well, it’s like this… In the 1990’s, I was a teenager with a want for making fame in the music industry and never achieved the ultimate goal. Many, many times tried without success, that’s just the nature of the business hey?
I must say that I always enjoyed my time on stage and performing to my audiences because they genuinely seemed to like the songs I sang and as I watched from the stage, the people danced and had fun and it seemed as though I was doing something right.
Early 2000’s saw a change in my ‘fame’ priorities due to family life with my two children being born and I wouldn’t change a single thing now because it’s all part of life’s rich tapestry.
Near on 20 years later from performing on stage, I go to work and come home, I go to work next day and come home again and lately I still have that something inside my brain and body that I just need and want to perform.
I don’t need or want that fame thing that I craved for as a teenager anymore…. That phase has long passed and also performing on stage too.
I’m not of stage performance ilk anymore due to ability, stamina or physical build so given my urge to sing, I decided to perform to people who would like to listen via this website in an audio format only (not visual).
This seems so odd for me as I’m so not a social media type person but I do like to sing for people who like to listen. Please enjoy the singing that I perform and it’s just for fun and if it’s not perfect then it doesn’t matter, we’ll try it again next time on the next performance. I enjoy the interaction of my audience and the challenge of their requests.
